Welcome to SellersGo — your setup checklist

What SellersGo does and the four things to set up first

v
Written by vikram kapoor

SellersGo is multi-channel order and custom design management software. It pulls your orders out of Amazon and Etsy into one queue, lets your team move them through your own workflow, generates or stores the custom design files that go with them, and buys the shipping label at the end.

This article covers the four things you need in place before an order can go all the way through. Budget about 20 minutes.

Before you start

You need an active SellersGo account and the seller-account credentials for the marketplace you want to connect. You do not need your shipping carrier credentials yet — that is step 2 and can wait.

If your account was created for you by a colleague, some of these steps may already be done. Open Home — the setup cards there tell you what is left.

The four steps

Step 1. Connect a store — Settings → Stores → Connect Store

Your store is where orders come from. SellersGo supports Amazon and Etsy. Connecting is an authorization handoff: you pick the marketplace, name the store, and approve SellersGo on the marketplace's own login screen. Nothing else works until at least one store is connected — orders, products, reports and dashboards are all scoped by store. See "Connect your Amazon or Etsy store".

Step 2. Connect a shipping carrier — Settings → Shipping Carriers → Connect Carrier

SellersGo buys labels through ShipStation or Shippo. You bring your own account with either one and paste in the API credentials. Rates, label purchase, tracking and refunds all flow through that connection. See "Connect a shipping carrier".

Step 3. Add a warehouse location — Settings → Warehouse Locations → Create New Warehouse

This is your ship from address. Carriers will not quote a rate without one. If you ship from more than one place, add each one and mark the busiest as Global Default Warehouse. See "Warehouse locations and package types".

Step 4. Add a shipment package type — Settings → Shipment Package Type → New Package Type

A package type is a saved box: name, dimensions and weight. Saving your two or three common boxes means the Buy Label screen becomes a single dropdown pick instead of four measurements typed by hand on every order. See "Warehouse locations and package types".

What to do next

Once the four steps are done, orders start appearing under Orders. From there the normal day looks like:

  1. Open Orders and work the In Progress tab.

  2. Open an order, check the products and personalization, generate or upload the custom design if the item needs one.

  3. Buy the shipping label.

  4. Download the packing slip and label, print, pack, ship.

See "Managing your orders".

Worth setting up early

These are not blockers, but teams that skip them end up redoing work.

  • Customize Workflow — replace the default order statuses with the stages your team actually uses. Doing this before you have 500 orders in flight is much easier than after. See "Workflow, settings and notifications".

  • Users and Roles — invite your team and give each person a role rather than sharing one login. Reports like Team Metrics and Performance Reports are only meaningful when each person has their own account. See "Users, roles and permissions".

  • Custom Designs — if you sell personalized products, set up your design templates and design locations before the orders arrive. See "Custom designs".

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect more than one store? Yes, as many as you like, including several stores on the same marketplace. Note the warning on the Amazon step: if you have multiple Amazon stores, sign out of all of them in your browser before starting each connection, or you will connect the wrong one.

How far back do orders sync? Orders sync forward from the moment the store is connected. Historical orders placed before the connection are not backfilled.

A button I was told about isn't on my screen. Most actions are permission-gated by role. Ask whoever administers your SellersGo account to check your role under Administration → Users.

I'm stuck. Open Support in the sidebar. You can start a live chat, browse this help center, or email [email protected].
